Worst Day Ever

 

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen...

For the past two weeks, I've been in New York. I went to a summer music camp called Csehy,  met lots of new people and had a ton of fun. Each Saturday there was a concert. Last night was my last concert, which was fun in spite of what happened right before I was to take my place with the orchestra. I went to get my violin from the case, picked up the neck, and it slid cleanly off of the body. I now have a decapitated violin... I was still able to play in the concert however. Some of the staff/faculty found a temporary replacement for me to use. Amazingly, I didn't cry.

Disney*Pixar's BRAVE

There's a new movie being released tomorrow called Brave. It is the story of a girl named Merida, and her life as a Scottish princess. She hates the rules that govern what she can and can't do. She would much rather be running through the woods on her monster of a horse Angus, than sitting in her room studying.

"A lady enjoys elegant pursuits." Says her mother, Queen Elinor.

Her father can better relate to Merida though, and encourages her wild side.

Merida sounds like my kind of girl-- in that I wish I could have her athletic skills. (My daily life consists of... sitting and reading books. Yeah, not very interesting.)

I can't wait to see this movie! It looks really good, and Pixar's animation has come a long way. I just hope my dad will let me go see it...

BRAVE was amazing!! Definitely worth seeing. :D two million thumbs up!

It almost made me cry at some parts, and I am not an easy crier. Also, there was enough action (sword fights, bear hunts, etc.) to keep it from being to chick-flicky.

The joys of Childhood

This is me, in my best friend's backyard shooting her recurve bow. Since this was taken, I have acquired my own bow, but I have yet to take a picture of it. I took the time recently to do some editing with some of my pictures, including this one. It originally looked a little bit like this picture:
